Carcinogenic controversy

There is still controversy over whether triclosan has carcinogenicity in humans, and there is insufficient evidence to confirm its carcinogenicity. Early reports have shown that long-term exposure to triclosan can induce liver cirrhosis in mice. In 2014, PNAS article once again reported the role of triclosan as a liver tumor promoter, and in 2016, Science magazine also proposed the hepatotoxic effect of triclosan.
